Planned Preventive Maintenance

To carry out the service work specified in maintenance manual.

Corrective Maintenance

To repair or replace the damaged or faulted system/parts to make the vehicle available to operation.

Additional Service

To repair or fix the faults caused by operator.

Overhaul Service

To carry out the overhaul service works specified in maintenance manual.

MAINTENANCE MODES

3 Modes for Maintenance Service

Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)

To carry out the service work specified in Maintenance Manual & maintenance plan based on time or mileage.

Corrective Maintenance (CM)

To repair or replace the damaged or faulted system/parts to make the vehicle available to operation.

Based Maintenance (CBM)

Means maintenance when need arises. This maintenance is performed after one or more indicators showing that equipment is going to fail or that equipment performance is deteriorating. CBM has some advantages such as:

a) Improved system reliability. 

b) Decreased maintenance costs.
